The essence of the AULERDE stems from our oldest Riesling vines – more than 50 years old. The wine is an ripe, complex Riesling with a cornucopia of tropical fruit notes, a fine play of acidity, and a slightly smoky, mineral tone in the finish.

Particularly in good years the Morstein site shows its magnitude. The wine has a gripping character, thanks to its fine, ripe yellow fruit notes; its elegant, multifaceted body; and its firm, mineral-rich finish.
In its youth, of course, it is still somewhat closed. Yet its delicate veil of yeast and extraordinarily expressive limestone minerality promise longevity and many years of aging potential.
