Weingut Wittmann
World Atlas of Wine

The Wonnegau in the “World Atlas of Wine”

In the new 9th edition of the “World Atlas of Wine” by Hugh Johnson, Jancis Robinson and Julia Harding, Weingut Wittmann is mentioned in the chapter on Germany and the Wonnegau. This standard reference work on wine will be published in October 2026, initially in English; a German edition is expected to follow next year. We are especially pleased by the way the development of the Wonnegau is described.

“The remarkable rise of the Wonnegau, mapped opposite, had much to do with Philipp Wittmann and Klaus Peter Keller, after they had taken over their respective families' estates.”

Since its first edition in 1971, the “World Atlas of Wine” has been regarded as one of the most important reference works in the world of wine. With more than 5 million copies sold in numerous languages, the book has shaped generations of wine enthusiasts, sommeliers, merchants and winegrowers.
