The grapes for our ESTATE wines are harvested by hand from our Westhofen vineyards. These elegant, fruit-driven varietal wines pair magnificently with food.
VDP.Ortswein
VDP.ORTSWEIN are authentic ambassadors of their community. The grapes must be grown all within a single municipality in traditional vineyards of distinctive character. Westhofen’s typically clayey-marl and limestone soil lends itself to wines of notable depth and great expression.
VDP.aus ersten Lagen®
Wines from first-class sites of notable historical significance. Starting with the 2018 vintage, VDP.AUS ERSTEN LAGEN® wines are recognized as Rheinhessen’s finest ambassadors for individual winegrowing towns and so proudly bear the name of their municipality. Each wine is a singular and unmistakable expression of its origin.

Riesling from our absolute top vineyards based on the VDP.Rheinhessen classification.
Réserve Wines
Harvested in the best parcels of the Westhofener Cru vineyardsites, processed in traditional barrels or Barrique, with a maturing on the lees for at least 15 month.
100 Hügel
Our grapes from organically cultivated vineyards come in part from winegrower friends of ours who live close to our home in the southern Rheinhessen. The grapes are harvested with great care and subsequently fermented in our cellars.
Weingut Ansgar Clüsserath
Since its founding in 1670, Weingut Ansgar Clüsserath in Tritteheim on the Mosel has been owned and operated by the family.
Today, Eva Clüsserath-Wittmann is following in the footsteps of her father, like her husband Philipp Wittmann she is a member of Germany’s new generation of wine-growers. Her wines express the typicality of the slate soils and steep Mosel sites with great finesse and elegance.
