The site
The grapes of the Gundersheimer Riesling come from the VDP.ERSTE LAGE® Höllenbrand. The neighboring site of the VDP.GROSSEN LAGE® Morstein stretches up to 260 m above sea level and is characterized by a very late grape ripening.
The soil
The soil of the VDP.ERSTE LAGE Höllenbrand impresses with heavy clay marl layers in the topsoil and massive limestone rocks in the subsoil.
