The 2025 vintage followed an exceptionally clear course: early, calm and ultimately highly concentrated. Budbreak began early, while spring remained balanced and free from extremes. Flowering started in early June under favourable conditions, laying the foundations for a harmonious growing season. The vineyards remained healthy, while meticulous work by hand and careful soil management ensured steady, balanced growth.
OPTIMAL RIPENESS
The summer progressed calmly before a period of exceptionally rapid ripening began in August under ideal weather conditions. The grapes responded immediately to the summer warmth, resulting in an unusually early start to the harvest. We began picking in early September.
The Pinot varieties showed perfect ripeness and exceptionally healthy fruit, and every parcel was selectively harvested by hand at the optimum moment. This was followed by a swift Riesling harvest. Here too, ripening advanced rapidly, supported by stable, summery temperatures.
AN EARLY HARVEST
The harvest took place under almost ideal conditions, yet still demanded the utmost attention to ensure that every parcel was picked at precisely the right moment. Harvest was completed on 21 September, just a few hours before the first heavy rainfall began.
The result is outstanding in quality: wines of great ripeness, clarity and inner tension. At the same time, 2025 is one of the smallest vintages by volume in the history of the estate. Its concentration is therefore all the more evident in the glass: a rare and distinguished vintage defined by precision, calm and a strong sense of origin, with excellent potential for development.
