The series of excellent vintages in Rheinhessen has continued for a number of years ... and we are pleased to announce that vintage 2009 was no exception! The cool growing season of 2008 was followed by a truly cold winter that persisted well into March 2009 in the Rhine Valley. In April, the new growing season began with a leap from winter into early summer weather. Rapid bud burst in mid-April and good foliage growth kept us on our toes during spring. Blossoming began early in Rheinhessen – by late May – but was then considerably delayed by a cold spell. What luck!... [more].
